Colorado High School Football - Montezuma-Cortez overwhelmed by Strasburg

September 6, 2025: Strasburg, CO 80136

In Saturday's non-league game, the Strasburg Indians (Strasburg, CO) football team triumphed over the visiting Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO), by a margin of 47-7.

The Indians now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Junta for a non-league outing on Friday, September 12. Strasburg will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 40-0 non-league win over Mitchell (Colorado Springs, CO). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Montezuma-Cortez drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Wellington (Wellington, CO) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league game on Saturday, September 13. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 1-0. Wellington won 68-0 in their recent non-league game against Fort Lupton (Fort Lupton, CO)
