The Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI) football bounced the host Sault Area Blue Devils (Sault St. Marie, MI), 34-0 in Saturday's non-league contest.
The Bluejays (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Standish-Sterling (Standish, MI). The Panthers enter the Jack Pine I contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Standish-Sterling was trounced by Millington (Millington, MI), 53-14, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Blue Devils battle the Cadillac Vikings (Cadillac, MI) in a Big North contest, on Friday, September 12. Sault Area will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 36-7 league loss to Escanaba (Escanaba, MI).
