The Thacher Toads (Ojai, CA) football prevailed the visiting Valley Christian Academy Lions (Santa Maria, CA), 22-14 in Saturday's non-league match.
The Toads (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Chadwick (Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA). The Dolphins enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Chadwick was beaten by Faith Baptist (Canoga Park, CA), 30-6, in a non-league match.
The Lions now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Orcutt Academy for a non-league match on Friday, September 19.
