Wayland-Cohocton Eagles (Wayland, NY) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer squad knock off the visiting Alfred-Almond Eagles (Almond, NY), 3-1 in a non-league outing.

The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Penn Yan Academy (Penn Yan, NY). The Mustangs come into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Penn Yan Academy got by Dansville (Dansville, NY), 2-0, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Alfred-Almond moves to 0-3 on the year. The Eagles host Avoca Central (Avoca, NY) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 9. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Avoca Central lost 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Friendship (Friendship, NY)
