St. Michael-Albertville Knights (Albertville, MN) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer squad hold off the visiting Brainerd Warriors (Brainerd, MN), 1-0 in a league outing.

The Knights (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Buffalo (Buffalo, MN). The Bison enter the Class AA Section 8 outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Buffalo tipped Zimmerman (Zimmerman, MN), 15-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Warriors confront the Detroit Lakes Lakers (Detroit Lakes, MN) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 9. Brainerd will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Lakers enter the outing with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Hillcrest Lutheran Academy (Fergus Falls, MN).
