In Saturday's non-league contest, the Franklin Wildcats (Franklin, OH) soccer team edged the host Piqua Indians (Piqua, OH), by a tally of 1-0.
Next, the Wildcats face the Bellbrook Golden Eagles (Bellbrook, OH) in a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern contest, on Tuesday, September 9. Franklin will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record.
The Indians (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Fairborn (Fairborn, OH). The Skyhawks go into the Miami Valley League - Valley challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Fairborn was nudged by Butler (Vandalia, OH), 5-0, in a league challenge.
