Mount Academy Eagles (Esopus, NY) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the host Scotia-Glenville Tartans (Scotia, NY), 8-0 in a non-league outing.

The Eagles (3-0) will now prepare for their outing against New Paltz (New Paltz, NY). The Huguenots go into the Mid Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, New Paltz prevailed over Red Hook (Red Hook, NY), 4-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Tartans confront the Tamarac Bengals (Troy, NY) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 9. Scotia-Glenville will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
