Southland Academy Raiders (Americus, GA) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Westover Patriots (Albany, GA), 13-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Southland Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Raiders travel to Monroe (Albany, GA) to confront the Golden Tornadoes in a non-league match on Saturday, September 6. The Golden Tornadoes come into the match with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Patriots confront the Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, September 10. Westover will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
