Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN) and the host Avon Orioles (Avon, IN), observed Crown Point's volleyball team hold off Avon by a count of 2-1.

With the win, Crown Point improves its record to 9-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Floyd Central (Floyds Knobs, IN) to encounter the Highlanders in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 6. The Highlanders go into the battle with a record of 0-1.

The Orioles now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fishers for a challenge on Thursday, September 25.
