In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Meridian Hawks volleyball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Bloomington Purple Raiders.

With the win, Meridian advances its record to 4-4 on the season. The Hawks travel to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL) to face the Braves in a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. The Braves go into the test with a record of 0-1. Mt. Zion lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL)

The Purple Raiders now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Champaign Central for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 2.
