In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Point Loma Pointers volleyball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Rancho Bernardo Broncos.

The Pointers (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Granite Hills was nudged by Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Broncos face the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs (Encinitas, CA) in a game, on Thursday, September 25. Rancho Bernardo will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record.
