Allentown Redbirds (Allentown, NJ) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the host Trenton Central Tornadoes (Trenton, NJ), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Redbirds (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against West Windsor-Plainsboro South (Princeton Junction, NJ). The Pirates go into the Colonial Valley - Colonial outing with a 0-2 record.

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs (Pennington, NJ) in a Colonial Valley - Colonial game, on Tuesday, September 9. Trenton Central will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record.
