In Saturday's non-league test, the host Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights soccer team scored a close 5-0 triumph over the Brooke Bruins.
With the triumph, Wheeling Central Catholic advances its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Maroon Knights host Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 5-1.
The Bruins now have a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they host Harrison Central for a Buckeye 8 test on Tuesday, September 9. Brooke will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, OH). The Huskies record now stands at 4-4.
