In Saturday's league challenge, the Columbus East Olympians (Columbus, IN) soccer squad nipped the visiting Jeffersonville Red Devils (Jeffersonville, IN), by a margin of 1-0.
The Olympians now hold a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bedford North Lawrence for a Hoosier Hills contest on Tuesday, September 9. Columbus East will battle a Stars team coming off a 1-1 non-league Scottsburg (Scottsburg, IN). The Stars record now stands at 2-4.
The Red Devils (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Floyd Central (Floyds Knobs, IN). The Highlanders enter the Hoosier Hills contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Floyd Central held off Evansville Harrison (Evansville, IN), 1-0, in a non-league contest.
