In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Somers Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Waterford Lancers.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against East Windsor (East Windsor, CT). The Panthers go into the Central Connecticut - North outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, East Windsor was edged by Weaver (Hartford, CT), 3-2, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Lancers play the Stonington Bears (Stonington, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut II outing, on Tuesday, September 9. Waterford will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
