The Central Lions overwhelmed the host Lee County Trojans softball squad by a count of 17-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA) in a 4A Region 3 battle, on Tuesday, September 9. Central will attempt to move on its 9-5 season record. The Bears come into the battle with a 0-3 record after their 7-0 league loss to Northside (Columbus, GA).

With the loss, Lee County moves to 10-5 on the season. The Trojans host Veterans (Kathleen, GA) to meet the Warhawks in a 5A Region 2 test on Tuesday, September 9. The Warhawks go into the test with a record of 14-1. Veterans won 13-5 in their recent non-league test against Perry (Perry, GA)
