Spectators at Saturday's non-league contest between the Decatur Bulldogs (Decatur, GA) and the host Ware County Gators (Waycross, GA), saw Decatur's softball squad nip Ware County by a score of 2-1.

With the triumph, Decatur improves its record to 9-2 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Heard County (Franklin, GA) to face the Braves in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 6. The Braves go into the match with a record of 5-4. Heard County won 6-1 in their recent non-league match against Newnan (Newnan, GA)

In their next game, the Gators battle the Perry Panthers (Perry, GA) in a 4A Region 1 match, on Tuesday, September 9. Ware County will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Panthers go into the match with a 2-7 record after their 13-5 non-league loss to Veterans (Kathleen, GA).
