Georgia High School Softball - Mount Vernon bounces Temple

The Mount Vernon Mustangs softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Temple Tigers to 1 in the Mustangs non-league win on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 12-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walker for a 1A D-I Region 5 test on Tuesday, September 9. Mount Vernon will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to King's Ridge Christian (Alpharetta, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 3-5.

The Tigers (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Model (Rome, GA). The Blue Devils go into the 1A D-I Region 6 test with a 10-0 record. In their last test, Model toppled Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA), 6-2, in a non-league test.
