The Pope Greyhounds triumphed over the host North Gwinnett Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 12-5 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Greyhounds now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sequoyah for a 5A Region 6 battle on Tuesday, September 9. Pope will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 9-2 league loss to Lassiter (Marietta, GA). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, North Gwinnett moves to 12-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA) to meet the Lions in a 6A Region 7 outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Lions come into the outing with a record of 4-10. Peachtree Ridge won 7-3 in their recent non-league outing against Collins Hill (Suwanee, GA)
