In Saturday's non-league test, the Rifle Bears (Rifle, CO) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Poudre Impalas (Fort Collins, CO), by a margin of 16-1.

The Bears now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eagle Valley for a 4A Western Slope outing on Tuesday, September 9. Rifle will encounter a Devils team coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Montrose (Montrose, CO). The Devils record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Poudre moves to 3-9 on the campaign. The Impalas travel to Rocky Mountain (Fort Collins, CO) to clash with the Lobos in a 5A/4A Northern test on Tuesday, September 9. The Lobos go into the test with a record of 5-7. Rocky Mountain won 15-4 in their recent non-league test against Longmont (Longmont, CO)
