In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Atlantic Trojans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Knoxville Panthers.

The Trojans (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA). The Titans go into the Hawkeye Ten test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Lewis Central was edged by Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont for a South Central outing on Tuesday, September 9. Knoxville will play a Rockets team coming off a 3-0 league win over Cardinal (Eldon, IA). The Rockets record now stands at 2-5.
