In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Ottumwa Bulldogs.

The Stormin' Pointers (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Independence (Independence, IA). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Independence nudged Charles City (Charles City, IA), 2-0, in a non-league game.

The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their game against Hoover (Des Moines, IA). The Huskies go into the Iowa Alliance - North game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Hoover was edged by Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA), 3-0, in a league game.
