California High School Volleyball - El Capitan over Central

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) and the visiting Central Spartans (El Centro, CA), observed El Capitan's volleyball team top Central by a tally of 2-0.

The Vaqueros (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Escondido (Escondido, CA). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, Escondido was defeated by Del Lago Academy (Escondido, CA), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Del Lago Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. Central will encounter a Firebirds squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Escondido (Escondido, CA). The Firebirds record now stands at 2-1.
