In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Charlevoix Rayders volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Marquette Sentinels.

The Rayders (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Boyne City (Boyne City, MI). The Ramblers go into the test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Boyne City was defeated by Mt. Morris (Mt. Morris, MI), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Sentinels now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Negaunee for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 9. Marquette will meet a Miners team coming off a 3-0 league win over Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI). The Miners record now stands at 5-1.
