Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Daviess County Panthers (Owensboro, KY) and the host Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY), observed Daviess County's volleyball team top Southwestern by a count of 2-0.

The Panthers (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Adair County (Columbia, KY). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Adair County notched a victory over Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Warriors battle the Christian County Colonels (Hopkinsville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 6. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Colonels go into the battle with a 7-6 record after their 3-0 league win over University Heights (Hopkinsville, KY).
