Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Garber Dukes (Essexville, MI) and the host Petoskey Northmen (Petoskey, MI), observed Garber's volleyball team hold off Petoskey by a count of 2-1.

The Dukes (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Flat Rock (Flat Rock, MI). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Flat Rock got by Cabrini (Allen Park, MI), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Northmen now own a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elk Rapids for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 6. Petoskey will encounter a Elks squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Harbor Springs (Harbor Springs, MI). The Elks record now stands at 4-5.
