Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR) and the visiting Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR), observed Grant Union's volleyball team top Kennedy by a tally of 3-0.

The Prospectors (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Weston-McEwen (Athena, OR). The TigerScots enter the 2A Blue Mountain contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Weston-McEwen beat McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Trojans meet the Molalla Indians (Molalla, OR) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 9. Kennedy will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Indians go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to St. Helens (St. Helens, OR).
