The Grant Generals volleyball squad (Portland, OR), was defeated 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Sprague Olympians (Salem, OR)

With the win, Sprague improves its record to 9-0 on the season. The Olympians host South Salem (Salem, OR) to encounter the Saxons in a 6A Central Valley battle on Tuesday, September 9. The Saxons enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. South Salem won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Sheldon (Eugene, OR)

Next, the Generals meet the Ida B. Wells Guardians (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland Interscholastic challenge, on Monday, September 8. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Guardians enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Century (Hillsboro, OR).
