The Newcastle Racers edged the host Guthrie Bluejays volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.
The Racers now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Carl Albert for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 6.
With the loss, Guthrie drops to 7-4 on the year. The Bluejays host El Reno (El Reno, OK) to confront the Indians in a non-league game on Tuesday, September 9. The Indians enter the game with a record of 10-7.
