Horizon Prep Lions (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host The Cambridge School Griffins (San Diego, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Escondido Charter beat Coastal Academy (Oceanside, CA), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Griffins now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountain Empire for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. The Cambridge School will face a Redhawks squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Valley Center (Valley Center, CA). The Redhawks record now stands at 6-2.
