In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Jefferson Hawks volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Iowa Valley Tigers.
The Hawks (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Hempstead (Dubuque, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Hempstead went down by Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Colfax-Mingo for a non-league test on Monday, September 15.
