In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Tigard Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Jefferson Democrats.

The Tigers (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Oregon City (Oregon City, OR). The Pioneers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Oregon City beat Grant (Portland, OR), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Democrats meet the McDaniel Mountain Lions (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland Interscholastic challenge, on Monday, September 8. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Mountain Lions come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Mountainside (Beaverton, OR).
