The Spartans (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Mt. Vernon was edged by Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Dragons now own a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwest for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 9. Johnston will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Pella (Pella, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 9-0.
