Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Lemont Lemont HS (Lemont, IL) and the host Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL), observed Lemont's volleyball team top Plainfield South by a tally of 2-0.

The Lemont HS (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Rockford Christian (Rockford, IL). The Royal Lions go into the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Rockford Christian achieved victory over Marengo (Marengo, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kaneland for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. Plainfield South will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to DeKalb (DeKalb, IL). The Knights record now stands at 1-6.
