Mercy Bears (Burlingame, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Amador Valley (Pleasanton, CA). The Dons come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Crusaders meet the International Jaguars (San Francisco, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 6. Mater Dei Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Jewish Community (San Francisco, CA).
