Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler (Mitchell, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Ontario Tigers (Ontario, OR), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against South Wasco County (Maupin, OR). The Redsides come into the 1A Big Sky challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, South Wasco County was nudged by McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Nyssa Bulldogs (Nyssa, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Ontario will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Marsing (Marsing, ID).
