The Waterloo West Wahawks volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs to 1 in the Wahawks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wahawks now have a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Prairie for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 9. Waterloo West will play a Hawks team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Anamosa (Anamosa, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Mt. Vernon drops to 6-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to play the Spartans in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 9. The Spartans come into the outing with a record of 7-1. Solon won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Washington (Cedar Rapids, IA)
