Mississippi High School Volleyball - Northwest Rankin Newton County

The Northwest Rankin Cougars volleyball squad (Brandon, MS), dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS)

With the win, Newton County upgrades its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS) to meet the Saints in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 6. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. St. Andrew's Episcopal lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Lake (Lake, MS)

The Cougars now own a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pearl for a Class 7A Region 3 test on Tuesday, September 9. Northwest Rankin will meet a Pirates team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 2-18.
