Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sterling Black Bears (Sterling, KS) and the host Pawnee Heights Tigers (Rozel, KS), observed Sterling's volleyball team top Pawnee Heights by a tally of 2-0.

The Black Bears (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Gray (Montezuma, KS). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, South Gray beat Cimarron (Cimarron, KS), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kinsley for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. Pawnee Heights will encounter a Coyotes squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Meade (Meade, KS). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-2.
