In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Petoskey Northmen volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Shepherd Bluejays.

The Northmen (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Cadillac (Cadillac, MI). The Vikings go into the Big North test with a 13-2 record. In their last test, Cadillac gained a win over Sault Area (Sault St. Marie, MI), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Bluejays now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hemlock for a non-league test on Monday, September 8. Shepherd will face a Huskies squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Flat Rock (Flat Rock, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 5-2.
