In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Trinity Lutheran Saints volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs.

The Saints (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Sisters (Sisters, OR). The Outlaws go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Sisters was edged by Pendleton (Pendleton, OR), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Monarchs now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glendale for a 1A Skyline test on Thursday, September 11. Umpqua Valley Christian will face a Pirates squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Liberty Charter (Nampa, ID). The Pirates record now stands at 4-3.
