Next up, the Eagles face the Life Waxahachie Mustangs (Waxahachie, TX) in a 4A Region II District 11 contest, on Friday, September 10. Hillsboro will attempt to better on its 11-8 season record.

With the loss, La Vega moves to 1-6 on the year. The Pirates host Hamilton (Hamilton, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 14. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a record of 10-12.
