In Wednesday's league game, the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) football team knocked off the visiting Perry Pumas (Gilbert, AZ), by a final score of 35-7.
The Thunder (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Centennial (Peoria, AZ). The Coyotes come into the game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Centennial was dropped by Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ), 40-23, in a non-league game.
The Pumas now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dobson for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 20.
