In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Spring Valley Timberwolves soccer squad scored a close 6-1 triumph over the Mingo Central Miners.
The Timberwolves (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV). The Panthers come into the Mountain State battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Lincoln County was overwhelmed by Logan (Logan, WV), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Miners (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Riverside (Belle, WV). The Warriors come into the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Riverside was overwhelmed by Hurricane (Hurricane, WV), 6-0, in a league match.
