The South Caldwell Spartans held off the host Bunker Hill Bears volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Spartans now have a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host McDowell for a non-league test on Monday, September 12.

The Bears (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, East Burke was edged by Newton-Conover (Newton, NC), 2-1, in a non-league contest.
