Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Fightin' Irish confront the Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL) in a Metro Suburban challenge, on Thursday, September 8. Bishop McNamara will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 4-0 league loss to Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL).
The Comets now possess a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Beecher for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 12. Reed-Custer will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 8-2 league win over Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL). The Bobcats record now stands at 8-3.
