The Kell Longhorns (Marietta, GA) softball nipped the host North Cobb Warriors (Kennesaw, GA), 8-7 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Longhorns (9-6) will now prepare for their bout against Campbell (Smyrna, GA). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 10-6 record. In their last bout, Campbell was edged by Sprayberry (Marietta, GA), 8-6, in a non-league bout.

The Warriors now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Walton for a 7A Region 5 bout on Thursday, September 8. North Cobb will confront a Raiders squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Campbell (Smyrna, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 7-10.
