The McIntosh Chiefs softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Starr's Mill Panthers to 3 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, McIntosh improves its record to 8-5 on the year. The Chiefs travel to Northside (Columbus, GA) to clash with the Patriots in a 5A Region 3 game on Thursday, September 8. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 10-5. Northside lost 12-11 in their recent non-league game against LaGrange (LaGrange, GA)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Riverdale Raiders (Riverdale, GA) in a 4A Region 4 game, on Thursday, September 8. Starr's Mill will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Raiders come into the game with a 1-7 record after their 15-14 non-league win over Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA).
