The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles (Shelby, NC) and the visiting Challenger Firebirds (Hickory, NC), saw Pinnacle Classical Academy's volleyball squad beat Challenger by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Pinnacle Classical Academy upgrades its record to 6-1 on the year. The Eagles host Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC) to play the Gryphons in a non-league bout on Friday, September 9. The Gryphons go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Thomas Jefferson lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Chesnee (Chesnee, SC)

The Firebirds now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy for a Western Piedmont Athletic bout on Thursday, September 8. Challenger will play a Crusaders squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Victory Christian Academy (Gastonia, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-1.
