The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) and the visiting Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA), saw Nooksack Valley's volleyball squad beat Mount Vernon by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Nooksack Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Anacortes (Anacortes, WA) to play the Seahawks in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Tuesday, September 13. The Seahawks go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Anacortes lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against LaConner (LaConner, WA)

The Bulldogs now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Stanwood for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 8.
